Labmark embraces a philosophy of social upliftment and the scientific advancement of man in harmony with nature and the environment.
Instrumentation manufactured by Labmark is used by laboratories for research and development purposes, as well as for routine testing applications.
Our suppliers of raw materials and components are in general large organisations based in the United States of America, Europe ( EU members ) and South Africa. As such, they are subject to the legal requirements of the countries in which they operate in so far as they relate to labour and environmental legal requirements.
Our manufacturing process does not entail hazardous waste disposal. The major item of waste is steel, which is handled by a reputable waste handling company.
As a responsible corporate citizen, Labmark pays timeously taxes due by it, and complies with its legal obligations. It endeavours to ensure that in discharging its duties and obligations, it does so in good spirit. It observes good corporate governance and is transparent in its dealings with stakeholders.
Labmark provides limited support to numerous fund raising organisations, particularly in the local community and which collectively provide a wide range of social support.
Of particular interest to Labmark is the support of research and development projects which are focussed on:
- the provision of sustainable energy and water resources
- the eradication of diseases which have specific relevance to the African continent -improvements in food production and land utilisation
Such research should be directly for the benefit of man and the human condition.
In support of these objectives, support is provided to tertiary institutions either financially or through the provision of equipment. Labmark endorses a philosophy of community support and supports a number of fund raising organisations which operate in or around the immediate vicinity of Roodepoort. In addition, it supports an AIDS centre, Sparrow Village, and Boys Towns, both South African organisations caring for the needy.
