The new Labcon LTIE (100 litre) Special Incubator

The new Labcon LTIE (100 litre) Special Incubator has an operating temperature range of -10degC to +80degC. Designed as a `chest freezer` it is used to test material/samples in an inert heavy gas, which is supplied to the chamber via an inlet pipe at the upper level of the chamber. The outlet pipe is situated at the base of the incubator.

The gas prevents moisture on the equipment while being tested at 0degC, -5degC or -10degC. In conventional incubator applications, air cooled to these temperatures would cause condensation.

The unit is controlled by an upgraded Digital Temperature Ramp Controller which permits various functions and multiple inputs. The unit features a R5485 Communications Port.

The Controller features:

. Self tuning P.I.D.;

. Blind function;

. Amplified timer;

. Priority display;

. Multiple inputs

. Manual control ( balanceless   and bumpless );

. Communication function;

. Digital PV Filter

. P.I.D. overshoot function;

. Digital input functions;

. Heating and cooling control.

The unit has also been designed to permit quicker cooling than normal.

Product enhancement - Incubators and Growth Chambers

We are pleased to advise that , following tests recently conducted on the evaporator systems of various types and sizes of low temperature incubators and growth chambers, we have introduced modifications which enhance the performance of the units.

Whereas previously the system permitted cooling from ambient to zero degrees to occur over a period of up to three hours, the inner chamber is now cooled on a comparative basis over a period of approximately forty five minutes, thus enhancing the efficiency of the equipment.

In addition, testing of the units was carried out with a view to prevent icing up of the units when working at temperatures of lower than zero degrees celcius. We are pleased to advise that we achieved a satisfactory result over extensive periods of time at temperatures as low as minus ten degrees celcius.

Double Block MHB

Also available is a configeration of either two or three heating blocks contained in the same housing. These may be either fixed or removeable, at the option of the user. The aluminium blocks may be drilled to the specification of the user, subject to such request being executable. Price on application

Seamless water bath IT24 with CPE50 circulator

The seamless water bath provides the user with a bath which is easier to keep clean and obviates the possibility of leakage which can occur when a welded bath is used. The bath can be ordered with a CPE50 circulator. A lid is also available.
Development of a heated bath is underway. This bath is not available as a Shaking Water Bath.

Below are some of the products presently under development by Labcon's R&D department

Co2 Incubator

The company is constructing a test incubator. Extensive testing will have to be undergone so as to ensure stability and reliability under  operational conditions.
